The Licking Heights School Board provides funding for the athletic programs. However, the amount of funding provided is insufficient to cover the full costs of uniforms, equipment, camps, maintenance, and other incidentals. The Athletic Department and Boosters working together must raise additional funds required to support the programs and pay for much of the required improvements. The Boosters exists to help meet these additional funding challenges. We count on your continued support through your membership in the organization, participation in fund raising activities, and your attendance at sporting events and Booster meetings.
Historically, the Licking Heights School District has NOT required “pay to play/participate” fees. This policy was adopted to provide all of the students of our district the opportunity to participate in sports regardless of socio-economic status. The Boosters, through a community effort to raise funds, aim to continue this trend, even as, and especially since, our district continues to grow.
We strive to provide your athletes with the best possible uniforms, training, and equipment available. We want them in uniforms they can be proud to wear. We want our fields, tracks, courts, diamonds, and facilities to reflect a pride in school spirit and strong tradition.
So why would you get involved? Because it matters! You make the difference in our student athletes experiences at Licking Heights. This is a period of personal and athletic growth that, when older, each athlete will reflect upon with gratitude and fondness due to your efforts and sacrifices.
